The St. Rose Dominican Hospitals Wound Healing and Hyperbaric Medicine Centers are staffed with a unique team of doctors, nurses, and technicians all dedicated to healing chronic and complicated wounds. The Centers utilize a panel of specialty physicians, ranging from general surgeons, podiatrists, family practice, internal medicine, and vascular surgeons. Each of these physicians has attended specialty training in Wound Care & Hyperbaric Medicine at Ohio State University through National Healing Corporation. All physicians follow the same evidence-based Clinical Pathway, using processes and procedures that have been developed and proven in 150 centers across the country.
With the Clinical Pathway approach, chronic wound patients are usually healed within 12 to 16 weeks. During the course of treatment, patients are always referred back to their primary care physician for any medical issues that arise. The primary care physician will receive monthly progress reports that include photos and measurements of the wound. The healed patient returns to their physician for follow up-care once healed.

The St. Rose Dominican Hospitals–Rose de Lima Campus Wound Healing and Hyperbaric Medicine Center is the first and only center in Nevada to receive UHMS (Undersea and Hyperbaric Medical Society) certification.
What is UHMS?
The UHMS has had a clinical hyperbaric medicine facility accreditation program since 2001. Clinical hyperbaric facilities can demonstrate their commitment to patient care and facility safety by voluntarily participating in this program. When invited to perform an accreditation survey, the UHMS sends a team of experts to the facility to examine staffing and training, equipment installation, operation and maintenance, facility and patient safety, and standards of care.
